What are the components of low pressure casting equipment
Low pressure casting equipment is generally composed of main engine, hydraulic system, holding furnace, liquid level pressurization device, electrical control system and mold cooling system. Let's take you to learn more about these systems.
(1) Mainframe
Low pressure casting host is generally composed of mold closing mechanism, static mold core pulling mechanism, frame, casting ejection mechanism, part taking mechanism, safety limit mechanism and so on.
(2) Holding furnace
The holding furnace mainly includes crucible holding furnace and molten pool holding furnace. Crucible holding furnace has two types: graphite crucible and cast iron crucible. The molten pool holding furnace adopts the overall knotting process of furnace refractory and radiation heating and insulation of silicon carbide rod. It has the characteristics of large capacity, long service life and simple maintenance. It is conducive to the requirements of continuous production and is widely used by modern low-pressure casting machines.
There are two types of connection between the holding furnace and the host: fixed connection type and lifting mobile type, which can be selected according to the production process requirements.
(3) Riser
The liquid riser is a channel for diversion and feeding. It is sealed and connected with the crucible cover in a detachable way to form a sealed container under pressure. Under the action of process air pressure, the molten metal is filled and pressurized for crystallization and solidification through the riser; During pressure relief, the non solidified alloy liquid falls back to the crucible through the riser. Therefore, it is very important to correctly design and use the riser of low-pressure casting.
(4) Liquid level pressurizing device and its pressurization specification
In low pressure casting, correct control of mold filling and pressurization is the key to obtain good castings. This control is completely realized by the liquid level pressurization control system. According to the requirements of different castings, the liquid level pressurization system shall be able to be adjusted arbitrarily within the range of process parameters, the work shall be stable and reliable, and the structure shall make maintenance convenient.
